Arugam Bay

Arugam Bay is a one of the most beautiful bay situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's southeast coast. The bay is located 320 km due east of Colombo. "Ullai" as Arugam Bay is locally known is a popular surfing and tourist destination. Only twenty-minutes away from Arugam bay you can see elephants grazing on the shores of the tank in Lahugalla National Park. Whilst in Kudumbigala Park, south of the bay, you may be lucky enough to see leopards sleeping on a granite outcrop or a sloth bear feasting on the fallen red berries of the weera tree.
